At the Destitute Senior Citizens Home of Priyadarshini Seva Mandali (PSM) there are currently 20 elderly (aged above 60 years) who are receiving food (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner), Doctor & Medical facilities, Boarding and Lodging free of cost. These elderly have been abandoned by their families or orphaned. They used to live in utter poverty and had no place to stay. PSM volunteers brought them to the senior citizens home and now they are leading peaceful lives. Some elderly who are capable enough prepare cotton wicks, paper covers etc which they sell in the local market.
Your donation of Rs 4000 will be used to provide complete food, shelter and medical facilities for one elderly person at the Desitute Senior Citizens home of PSM.
About the organization
Priyadarshini Seva Mandali (PSM) a Non-Governmental Voluntary organization registered on 27
th April 1991 with noble aims and objectives.It has a small dedicated team of staff. PSM is committed to urban & rural development in the all aspects.
PSM is a grass root action group working for the development of the under privileged by facilitating the communities to get needed skills and knowledge in the identified areas. The organization is working in Khammam District having its head quarters in Khammam and administration office in Hyderabad. The group believes in facilitating community organization and women empowerment which leads to sustainable development.
PSM has been organizing the programs like vocational trainings, in Khammam town, Mid day meals programs for old aged citizens and in total Khammam district, PPTCT center for pregnant women, HIV children nutrition support along with education and medical support.
And in Hyderabad, PSM established “A Destitute Senior Citizen Home” in this they are providing food and shelter with total free of cost. The beneficiaries of the care home are orphaned, poor and destitute.

Suvarna, we (PSM) don’t know her full name too. She is very poor her husband died few years back and she used to live in medchal, hyd with some other person in a relationship. That person while living her he stolen her gold ornaments and left her alone with shock she was mentally disturbed and slightly attacked by paralysis. At, some students nearby her home heard about our organization and bought her to our destitute senior citizens home. Now, suvarna is into our care home. We are providing breakfast, lunch and dinner with total free of cost and also we going a regular health checkups to her. And we will provide required medicines to her. Now, her health condition is also improved a lot but even she is not coming out from that shock and still she is suffering from paralysis.
